Not everyone is cut out for bank robbery. Certainly not a 38-year-old Albanian man who attempted it while obviously unprepared.
Valter Xhellillari live-streamed his attempted break-in on TikTok shortly after 10 p.m. on 21st December, but left the bank without taking any money.
Upon exiting the bank in Korça, the alarm went off, alerting the police. With the video as evidence, the police identified the suspected robber’s home address and waited for his return.
When he returned three days later, he was promptly arrested by the waiting officers.
Xhellillari claimed to arresting officers that he had no memory of the attempted bank robbery due to intoxication at the time. He was arrested regardless and is currently facing prosecution, according to Indy100.com.
In Loveland, Colorado, United States, another man attempted to rob a local bank before closing time on 17 December.
He handed a note with handwritten instructions to a teller at the First National Bank located at 750 North Lincoln Avenue.
The teller’s delay in responding prompted the impatient robber to leave without any cash.
The man was captured on surveillance cameras wearing a brown hoodie, green pants, a green baseball cap, sunglasses, and brown gloves. Police are currently searching for him.
The heist ultimately failed due to the robber’s own illegible note, which the teller could not decipher, CBS Colorado reported.
