With a 4-3 score on aggregate, the War Elephants will face Vietnam, which defeated Singapore 5-1 on aggregate, for the title for the third time.
This was the first time the Philippines lost in this edition of the Mitsubishi Electric Cup after finishing the group stages with a 1-3-0 win-draw-loss record.

“This is another hill we need to climb. Something we will do as a team and I think the fans at home can be proud of us.”
Peeradon Chamratsamee scored a crucial goal for the War Elephants in the 38th minute to tie things up on aggregate.
Patrik Gustavsson then outsmarted goalkeeper Quincy Kameraad as he scored in the 54th Minute.
