The partial closure enabled crucial upgrades to the course, including resurfaced fairways, refined bunkers, and an improved drainage system. The rehabilitation was spearheaded by Golforce Inc., an industry leader in constructing all-weather golf courses since the 1990s, an era regarded as the renaissance of modern golf courses in the Philippines.

Golforce has worked with some of the biggest names in golf course design, including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman and Graham Marsh. Notably, it constructed all the Nicklaus-designed courses in the country, including the iconic Legends and Masters courses at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.

This ambitious redevelopment was made possible through a partnership between Salvador “Buddy” Zamora II of Tranzen Group and CDMC under chairman Toti Cariño, a collaboration that underscores the shared commitment to elevating the course to new heights.

Media fellowship and professional recognition

The revitalized course recently hosted a media fellowship tournament organized by Cariño, which also featured professional golfers, including reigning Order of Merit champion Antonio Lascuña. The event highlighted the course’s exceptional upgrades and its readiness to host high-caliber tournaments.

Caza del Mar: A pinnacle of luxury

The reopening coincides with the grand launch of Caza del Mar, an exclusive golf club that offers privileged access to all resort facilities. Designed for discerning members, the club promises a seamless blend of luxury, personalized service, and exceptional amenities.
