Drying clothes under the sun is safer than drying them at night.
That was the case in the town of Bukit Indah in Malaysia’s Johor state, as residents were losing undergarments that they left to dry on their front porches at night.
China Press and the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported the thefts caught on security cameras and the police’s warning to homeowners not to leave their clothes outside to dry overnight.
The picky thieves steal panties from clotheslines. One video shared by a local on Facebook shows a man getting out of a car and raiding one porch.
One homeowner complained that thieves stole her undies three times, according to SCMP.
Meanwhile, the reverse happened to 124 people partying inside a hotel room in central Bangkok, Thailand, on 8 December.
Police raided the suspected drug party after a tip-off and found 122 men without clothes except for their briefs, SCMP reported.
Photos of the raid shared by police with the media show the bare-chested men being frisked and handcuffed.
Thirty-one were arrested for possessing illegal narcotics such as crystal methamphetamine, Ecstasy, and ketamine, Police Colonel Pansa Amarapitak said, according to SCMP.
Sixty-six of the men later tested positive for illegal substances in their systems.
The suspected drug pushers were detained, and the rest were released.
