SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — Different Elementary Schools and High Schools in San Fernando City of the Province of La Union simultaneously launched the Hydration Water Break on Monday.

It was initiated by City Schools Division head Sheila Marie A. Primicias, who joined the launching program after the flag ceremonies at the San Fernando South Central Integrated School (SFSCIS).

The hydration water break enjoins the learners in the city to stay hydrated, refreshed and focused while studying, which is also in line with the proposed water bell ordinance of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of La Union.

According to the release of the SFSCIS, the launching is not just about drinking water; it's about instilling a culture of self-care and mindfulness.

"The project launching emphasizes the profound impact of this daily habit on energy, focus and well-being," said the group.

Highlighted during the launching are the benefits of drinking water regularly. The students were told that the importance of having good and timely water breaks will replace water loss throughout the day, increase brainpower and concentration and help beat tiredness.

It can also help in weight loss, flush out toxins, improve complexion, help prevent headaches, have fresh breath, and improve mood, which is a great help in learning.

The water breaks are scheduled at every 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
