Senatorial aspirant Luis “Manong Chavit” Singson officially launched VBank on Sunday, introducing a digital banking platform aimed at promoting financial inclusion among Filipinos.
The unveiling took place during the BLACKOUT Festival in Quezon City, a vibrant event celebrating creativity, community, and culture.
Singson described VBank as a transformative tool to address the financial exclusion of millions of Filipinos, aiming to compete with established fintech players.
“Seventy percent of Filipinos still don’t have bank accounts. Kaya hindi umuusad ang ekonomiya kasi nasa labas ng bansa ang pera. All Filipinos should be financially included,” Singson said during the event.
The VBank platform is paired with the VCard, powered by Visa and Mastercard, which can be delivered directly to users safely.
“You don’t have to get the VCard from a branch. We will send it to your doorsteps with safeguards. We will collaborate with the local government agencies to roll this out,” Singson explained.
Alongside the launch, Singson introduced the 58 Days Milyon-Milyong Papremyo campaign, which promises rewards and opportunities for communities nationwide, further incentivizing the adoption of VBank’s services.
With VBank, Singson aims to address the financial needs of the unbanked population, fostering economic growth and financial accessibility for Filipinos across the country.
