Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA), Ecuador's primary port and a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has renewed its link to Asia through a commercial agreement for the Asia-South America (ASA) service.
The deal reinstates five major shipping lines — Wan Hai, Pacific International Lines, Cosco, Evergreen, and Yang Ming — to CGSA’s terminal, reflecting strong confidence in the port’s modern facilities, efficient operations, and security.
The ASA service, which last called at the terminal in 2015, resumed in early November, enhancing CGSA's role in facilitating Ecuador’s foreign trade.
CGSA, operated by ICTSI since 2007, handles a range of containerized, general, and bulk cargoes, contributing to the country’s global trade competitiveness.
Contecon Guayaquil’s inclusion in the service rotation reaffirms CGSA’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence and to ensuring that each client receives world-class service that supports their business objectives and contributes to the sustained development of Ecuador’s foreign trade.
