Cignal displayed composure down the stretch in the fourth frame, staving off a late rally by Choco Mucho.
“Very happy and proud of how the team played especially after Choco Mucho made a run, which we expected. But the good thing is, we were able to invest in two good sets. Good thing we got the win,” HD Spikers coach Shaq delos Santos said.
The Flying Titans erased a four-point deficit and tied the fourth frame at 18.
Cignal got the breaks of the game after Choco Mucho threw away points on errors before Gandler pushed her squad at match point, 24-21. The Flying Titans saved a match point but Dindin Santiago-Manabat smashed her attack wide to surrender the game.
The Flying Titans slid to an even 2-2 card.
