Carlos Yulo nanalo ng ginto sa Uzbekistan
Nanalo ng gintong medalya ang papuntang Paris Olympics na gymnast na si Carlos Yulo sa men’s individual all-around event ng 2024 Asian Gymnastics Union Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastic Championships noong Huwebes sa Uzbekistan.
Nasungkit ni Yulo ang ginto nang umiskor siya ng 84.931 puntos at talunin ang mga tulad nina Milad Karimi ng Kazakhstan (84.632) at hometown bet na si Azimov Abdulla (82.431) na nagtapos din sa podium.
Bahagi ng delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa kompetisyon sa Uzbekistan sina Juancho Miguel Besana, John Ivan Cruz, Justine De Leon at Jhon Romeo Santillan. Ang kapatid ni Carlos na si Karl ay sasabak sa junior category.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Yulo na gusto niyang mag-excel sa individual all-around event habang patungo siya sa 2024 Paris Olympics.
Isa rin siya sa tatlong gymnast na pupunta sa Summer Games kasama sina Aleah Finnegan at Levi Ruivivar.
