Stallion Laguna FC demolished Don Bosco Garelli F.C., 7-0, to open its campaign in the Philippines Football League (PFL) with aplomb Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
The first half saw Stallion go on an attacking spree after goals from Magson Duorado in the seventh minute, Finn McDaniel in the 14th minute and Gabriel Silva in the 45th minute for a 3-0 lead.
It didn't stop there for the Stallions kept firing at Garelli after Juan Trujillo (60th), Julian Stifano (80) and Junior Sam (82nd and 87th minutes) in the second half of the match.
So far, Stallion joins Mendiola FC 1991 on top of the standings with the highest goal difference in the league with +7 each.
Also winning their first matches in the PFL are last year's runner-up Cebu FC, Maharlika Taguig FC and Manila Digger FC.
As of press time, defending champion Kaya FC-Iloilo and United City FC are competing against each other for their first win in the PFL.
Kaya is expected to have a harder road to the PFL title with the league having a total of 15 teams this year.
