Chezka Centeno has her eyes trained at getting a world title in the women's nine-ball after clinching the 2024 Pro Billiard Series Las Vegas Women's Open last month.

The 20-year-old Zamboanga City native said in a radio interview that she wants to add a World Pool Association title in the nine-ball category.

Centeno ruled the women's 10-ball in Las Vegas beating Chen Siming of China, 4-2, 4-2, to capture the title.

"My goal is to win the world nine-ball title. There isn't any date announced yet," Centeno said.

"We can play in other tournaments as long as our schedules are open."

Centeno had a chance to get a world title in nine-ball at the PBS Showdown last March at the Rio Hotel and Casino last March in Las Vegas but lost to 4-3, 4-2 against Chou Chieh-Yu of Chinese Taipei, 4-3, 4-2, in the quarterfinal.

The four-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist said she hopes to bounce back from that loss against her Taiwanese foe.

"It's just that my opponent just played better on that day," Centeno said.

"Chou's attempts were just really good in our match. She was really pumped."
