Tycoon Andrew Tan-led property giant Megaworld Corp. is building its second hotel development inside its 462-hectare Paragua Coastown ecotourism township in San Vicente, Palawan.
In a stock report, the company announced that the 10-story Paragua Sands Hotel will offer 313 guest rooms and suites in varied layouts, ideal for tourists and travelers visiting the picturesque town of San Vicente.
Room types and sizes range from Twin Suite, up to 32 square meters; Queen Suite, up to 32.5 square meters; Junior Suite, up to 61 square meters; Executive Suite, up to 60.5 square meters; and Presidential Suite, 140 square meters.
There will also be a dedicated Specially-Abled Suites, up to 34 square meters, for guests needing special room arrangements during their stay. These rooms will feature varying views of the nearby mountains and the nearby Pagdanan Bay.
Palawan beachline as come on
“We are very excited to introduce our 20th hotel property in our portfolio, and what better destination to host it than in San Vicente, Palawan, which is home to the longest beachline in the country and the second longest in the entire Southeast Asia,” Megaworld Hotels and Resorts managing director Cleofe Albiso said.
Paragua Sands Hotel will be a five-minute walk from both the beach and the mangrove reserve park. It will be located next to Savoy Hotel Palawan and Oceanfront Premier Residences, the first hotel and residential condominium developments in the township. The hotel will be surrounded by lots from the soon-to-rise Mercato Shophouse District.
The hotel’s façade will feature gradient-colored balconies and walls with art murals inspired by modern contemporary art. This will help to distinguish Paragua Sands Hotel from the other surrounding developments.
Paragua Sands Hotel is scheduled to open in 2029 and will be the 20th hotel property launched by Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, the country’s largest operator of homegrown hotel brands.
