The AirAsia Group (AirAsia Philippines, AirAsia Malaysia, AirAsia Thailand, and affiliate medium-haul airlines AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X) has been praised by AirlineRatings.com, the world's only agency for safety and product ratings, for being among the top 20 safest low-cost airlines for 2024 out of the 385 airlines it monitors.
"Our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team of Allstars, whose unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence has led AirAsia to be recognized among the world's safest and best low-cost airlines," said AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla.
"We wish to convey our sincerest thanks to our valued guests for placing their trust in AirAsia. Beyond affordable fares, they can always count on our commitment to safety," he added.
To determine which 20 low-cost airlines are the safest, the aviation regulatory agency combines incident and crash data from the previous two and five years with the findings of audits it conducted.
Likewise, AirAsia was chosen as Rank 1 (Gold): Best Low-Cost Airlines once again at the just concluded DestinAsian 2024 Readers' Choice Awards. DestinAsian is an online resource for travel news and information.
Online votes for AirAsia were cast by over 10,000 readers worldwide, who rated the airline as well as airports, hotels and sites throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
AirAsia PH advises its guests to visit or check the AirAsia Superapp and AirAsia's official website (www.airasia.com) for the most up-to-date information on travel advisories, guidelines and promos.
