Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija — The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 recently turned over a new storage, garage facility and trucks to the Catalanacan Multipurpose Cooperative in Barangay Catalanacan here.
The facilities and vehicles will be used in the processing and selling of products made by the coop group that are based on carabao milk and according to the local government here, the new facilities is seen to boost the Catalanacan Multi-purpose Cooperative's provision of healthier and more delicious products from carabao milk that the city is known for.
Meanwhile, the local government opened the Agri-Aqua at Likhang Novo Ecijano Trade Fair 2024 at the City Hall in D. Delos Santos Street on Wednesday. Vice Mayor Nestor Lazaro Alvarez led the opening of the trade fair.
The event was also attended by Councilor Jerry S. Fulgencio for the Committee in Agriculture, and DTI Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Dr. Richard Simangan.
A Farmers' Forum was also held alongside the event led by PhilRice Technology Managament and Services Division Science research specialist II Kremlin M. Del Castillo, and PhilMech Acting Cluster Head Science research specialist II Engr. Marites Botas Sobrevilla.
The two-day forum was led by the Central Luzon State University, Philippine Carabao Center and the Bureau or Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
