The Philippine National Police disclosed that it is already in the hunt for the individual who allegedly stabbed to death a woman who was identified as actress Coleen Garcia-Crawford's stepmother's sister in Antipolo City.
Authorities identified the victim as Canice Minica O. Seming and revealed that the incident happened on 20 December.
In a social media post, Garcia-Crawford narrated that Seming was "found to have over 15 stab wounds" at her father's house and they believe that the alleged assailant — who was her dad's carpenter — "was under the influence of drugs."
Police identified the suspect as a certain "Art," the former live in partner of the victim's stay-in housemaid, Marry Ann Garnica.
Based on Garnica's statement, the victim was still able to message the former that Art was at their house.
Seming's sister and Garnica later found the victim's lifeless body at the sala of the house.
Garnica told the police she ended her relationship with the suspect two days ago and authorities said this could be the suspect's motive in the killing.
Garcia-Crawford mentioned Art's alleged drug use in her post on social media.
"He used to work as my dad's carpenter (even used to work on our house), until my dad let him go because he found out about his drug use. His former live-in partner continued to work as a nanny to my little sister and step brother," said Garcia-Crawford on her post.
"She left him and blocked him because apparently he'd been constantly threatening her, even saying he plans to kill her seven children. He never threatened my family prior to what happened. Canice had just arrived in my dad's house, and he showed up looking for his partner, who was at our house at that time with my family," she added.
