The Manila Electric Co., the country's largest private sector-led power distributor, assured customers that its entire network and system is fully prepared throughout the holiday season.
The company said on Thursday that it has mobilized its team to respond to any electricity service concerns to ensure uninterrupted festivities.
"We encourage our customers to practice electrical safety for a bright and accident-free holiday celebration. Rest assured, contingency measures are in place and our crews are on standby ready to respond to any concern on our electricity service," Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said.
Meralco Business Centers will be closed on declared holidays 25, 26, and 30 December and 1 January.
However, the company's operations crews will be on standby 24/7 throughout the holiday season, even on Christmas Day, to keep the lights on for its 7.8 million customers.
As the holiday season is in full swing, Meralco also advised the public to place a premium on safety to prevent any untoward electricity-related incidents.
