Sting ops yield over P1-M shabu

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police reported that an estimated P1.36 million worth of suspected shabu was seized while a high-value individual and his cohort were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Lalakhan, Sta. Maria town here on Tuesday morning.
Bulacan Police Provincial Office officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Jacquiline Puapo disclosed that a joint team from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Sta. Maria police conducted the operation at about 1 a.m.
Police identified the arrested suspects as alias "Buddy" who is identified as an HVI and alias "Acma," a resident of Barangay Gumaoc, City of San Jose del Monte.
"The operation yielded the seizure of around 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P1,360,000 with marked money," Puapo said.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
"These efforts underscore the unwavering dedication of the Bulacan Philippine National Police in upholding public safety and combating criminal activities within the province," Puapo said.
