Clark bolsters business ties

A meeting of top business and government leaders held in Binh Duong New City, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam last 3 to 4 December showcased Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone as a prime investment and tourism destination in Asia Pacific.
Participating in the Horasis Asia Meeting, Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, president and CEO of Clark Development Corporation, or CDC, highlighted the importance of business interdependence among Asian nations and emphasized Clark's strategic significance and economic contribution to the country.
"We should be conscious of our collaboration because that's the only way we can strengthen the Asia Pacific region," said Devanadera in a statement.
Revitalizing Asian growth
"To revitalize Asian growth, we must leverage our strengths to address weaknesses through knowledge sharing and cooperation," she said.
Co-hosted by Binh Duong;s Provincial People's Committee and Becamex IDC Corp., the meeting of CEOs in Binh Duong New City, a dynamic economic hub located about an hour north of Ho Chi Minh City, drew over 700 participants who discussed such global issues as creating intelligent communities, attracting investments, innovation, developing Artificial Intelligence application technology, human resources, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
The Clark delegation, led by Devanadera included Elenita Lorenzo and Charisse Lacson from CDC Tourism Promotions, Erwin Pattaui from CDC Investment Promotions Division II, and Astrud Aguinaldo from the CDC Communications Division.
Established in 2005, the Horasis Asia Meeting serves as an international investment promotion organization, connecting multinational investors.
