MORONG, Bataan — Authorities reported that an Australian wanted for violence against women was arrested on Monday afternoon by local police here.

Morong Police chief Police Captain Ernesto Clemente identified the Australian as Lincoln Waters, who is temporarily residing at Barangay Nagbalayong here.

His arrest came by virtue of a warrant issued Judge Dorina Castro-Baltazar of the Family court, Balanga City for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Violence against Women and Children Act.

Police said that the suspect was spotted at a beach resort in Nagbalayong and there, authorities served the warrant and he was brought to Morong Police station for documentation.
