
A group of Tondo-born professionals has been earning waves of admiration from district residents as they silently lend their contribution from their respective professions and staged a feeding event Saturday at the Parola compound benefitting more than 2,000 people, young and old.
The group who silently had been rendering their free services calling themselves "Buklod at Alyansang Nagkakaisang Anak ng Tondo" had been offering services such as legal help, medical services, and feeding, which has benefitted residents since 2006.
According to its founding member, former MPD-SmaRT head P/Lt. Col Rosalino Ibay Jr. the group is apolitical and has for its members professionals like doctors, police , councilors, soldiers, government employees, fire workers, lawyers, church leaders and businessmen who had formed the group in 2006.
Ibay said that he was invited to join the group whose members come from Tondo High School some of whom have maintained residency abroad and had been sending financial support for the group's reach-out projects fr the less fortunate.
