Sting ops yield ‘weed’

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – The Bulacan Police Provincial Office here reported that its operatives seized nearly P1 million-worth of marijuana in separate anti-drug operations here on Friday.
BPPO director Colonel Relly Arnedo said that the successful operations that were launched in this city and in Balagtas town resulted in the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers.
He added that at least six kilograms of dried marijuana worth P720,000, along with the marked money and a motorcycle were confiscated from alias Glenn following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pinagbakahan, this city around 12:25 a.m.
Arnedo said the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Balagtas police launcheda drug buy-bust in Barangay Santol around 1:45 a.m. that resulted in the arrest of alias Reyvin, a resident of Barangay Pinagkuartelan, Pandi.
"The confiscated evidence were 2.03 kilograms of dried marijuana with a standard drug price of some P243,600 and the marked money," Arnedo said.
The suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
