AirAsia Philippines advises its customers to plan for the Christmas and New Year holiday rush by combining their luggage bundles and travel schedules for maximum convenience, as it is anticipating to fly about 350,000 passengers this December.
The airline also suggests to its customers to pack light and bring only necessities, and take advantage of the AirAsia Fast Pass, which provides priority boarding, a dedicated check-in station, and additional hand-carry baggage up to 14 kilograms.
First Officer Steve Dailisan, the country head for communications and public affairs at AirAsia Philippines, stated that this is ideal, particularly for people who are time-conscious and constantly on the go. With Fast Pass, visitors can bypass lengthy wait times and bring as many products as needed — as long as they don't exceed the permitted amount. For those who are bringing "pasalubong" for the holidays, this is equally crucial.
Despite the Civil Aeronautics Board's (CAB) decision to keep the fuel surcharge at Level 7 for December, AirAsia is still optimistic that reservations near the end of the year will continue to see a rise.
Travelers will be assessed a fuel cost ranging from P219 to P708 for domestic flights and from P722.71 to P1,124.26 for international flights, contingent on the distance, due to a Level 7 fuel surcharge.
Dailisan added that while fuel prices remain volatile, AirAsia will stay committed to offering the best value deals not only for flights but also for hotels, rides, and other products offered via AirAsia Move (formerly AirAsia Superapp). "We encourage our guests to plan their travels ahead to save on costs and optimize their budget," he said.
Through the Go Go Go Holideals promotion, Asia's leading low-cost airline is mitigating the impact of rising fuel prices by offering a one-way base fare of P91 for both domestic and international flights booked by 26 November 2023 for travel until 30 April 2024.
To check-in online more quickly and make the most of the airport self-check-in kiosks, AirAsia Philippines also suggests that its customers download the AirAsia Move app. For flight schedules and other travel warnings, it also encourages its customers to frequently check the Asia Fly Safe page, the Asia Newsroom, and the Asia Super App social media platforms on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).
