SAN FRANCISCO, California — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday (US Time) met with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at the sidelines of the 2023 APEC Summit, Malacañang confirmed.
The pull-aside meeting between the two leaders took place two days after Marcos and US Vice President Kamala Harris met in here.
Marcos announced earlier this week that he and Xi would talk about methods to ease tensions in the hotly contested South China Sea.
Malacañang has yet to provide details of the meeting as of writing.
