The Manila Police District Homicide Section reported that a 31-year-old man has died while inside a taxi cab he hailed early dawn Thursday.

MPD-Homicide Section investigator PSSG Irene Jay Manalili said that the victim — identified as Jomar Rosillo of New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City — boarded the taxi being driven by  Agustin Cuesta from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 going to  Delpan, Tondo.

The driver narrated that upon reaching Kalaw Street in Manila, the victim seemed restless and attempted to alight the taxi. Seeing the condition of his passenger, the driver opted to transport him to the nearest hospital.

However, while en route to the hospital, the passenger suddenly fainted and the driver — driven by panic — rushed him to the MPD Headquarters at United Nations Avenue.

Police said that the passenger was not brought to the hospital anymore as he was no longer responsive. It is now at the Cruz Funeral for autopsy.
