Kin of girls found dead seek justice

The family of two female students found dead inside an office of the Signal Village National High School in Taguig last Friday is seeking  justice.

The call was aired by Rhea Manalo, a cousin of one of the victims, Irish Sheen Manalo, asking classmates, teachers, and friends to "come forward and tell the truth."

"Our family is asking and begging for your help — to all the classmates, teachers and friends of Irish Sheen Manalo and her classmate, Mary, come forward and tell the truth," posted Rhea on Facebook.

Her FB post added, "Sheen and her classmate Mary were found dead last night, 'nakabigti' daw according sa mga guards ng Signal Village National High School, nilabas ng police 'yung dalawang bata without the SOCO "(Sheen and her classmate Mary were found dead last night, allegedly found hanging, according to the guard at Signal Village National High School, the police brought out bodies of the two kids without the SOCO)."

A police report obtained from the Southern Policce District showed the two girls were found dead at about 11 p.m. on 10 November inside the Girls Scout Mini Office on the third floor of Magsaysay Building of Signal Village National High School.

The report stated the victims were identified as Mary, female 15 years old, Grade 10 student of SVNHS and a resident of South Signal, Taguig City and Irish, 13 years old, Grade 8 student of SVNHS and a resident of Zone 5, Central Signal, Taguig City.

Investigation showed based on the account of the witness, Danielle, 16-year-old student, the victims were last seen alive at about 7:45 p.m. 10 November after they told her that they had gone home.

But they learned from the messenger group account that the victims did not go home.

A search was immediately done and on the said time and date, the witness discovered the lifeless bodies of the victims hanging with rope tied to their neck attached to the steel grill of the said office.

The witness then informed the guard of the said school who later on reported the matter to the police.

Meanwhile, Rhea lamented in her FB post, "Uncooperative yung Signal Village National High School and wala daw CCTV na gumagana sa school (the school was uncooperative and claimed the CCTV was not functioning).

She further said,"Please look into this DEPED TAPAT-Division of Taguig City and Pateros DepEd Philippines and Mayor Lani Cayetano. My cousin was an honor student and part of the GSP. She's in Grade 8, Gold Section. She will not dare kill herself. We are still waiting for the autopsy result as of this post. Any help to assist us and our family to get justice for Sheen, please message me or her Ate Irene Jade Garcia Manalo."
