Operatives from the Manila Police District have arrested an individual who was wanted for statutory rape in Zamboanga del Sur on Sunday morning inside a fastfood restaurant inside SM Marilao in Bulacan.

The MPD-District Police Intelligence and Operation Unit identified the suspect as Ben Lazaga, alias Benjoe Mar Lazaga of Purok 3, Dimaataling, Zamboanga del Sur. He was nabbed by authorities at 11:30 a.m.

The arrest was based on the strength of warrant issued by Presiding Justice Felix Rodriguez Jr. of Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 29-San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur dated 5 October 2023.

No bail was recommended by the court for the accused temporary liberty and the suspect will be turned over to the Zamboanga del Sur Police.
