Capas, Tarlac — The First Tarlac Mango Stakeholders Association Inc. recently received a Multi-Commodity Processing Facility and equipment in Barangay Cristo Rey here from the Department of Agriculture in Central Luzon.
The DA Central Luzon awarded the facility and equipment through the agency's High Value Crops Development Program with an allotted budget of P1,391,999.98 to the group established and registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2020 led by chairperson Ferdinand Hilario.
The group is composed of 40 farmers in Capas.
Mayor Roseller Rodriguez hailed the project and lauded the agency and the First Tarlac Mango Stakeholders Association Inc for constructing the facility in his locality.
Meantime, HVCDP Focal Person Engr. AB David said that the agency has seen the dedication of the group to grow and develop the agricultural sector and business sector of the area.
Bureau of Plant Industry Assistant Director for Regulatory Services Ruel Gesmundo also gave his commendations to the farmers and product processors of Tarlac.
