

Marikina City will implement a traffic rerouting scheme to ease traffic flow within the vicinity of Loyola Memorial Park, the city's largest cemetery, in preparation for thousands of people who will go to cemeteries on All Saints' Day.
The city government said A. Bonifacio Avenue from Barangka fly-over to Marikina bridge will be one-way going to Marikina City proper starting noon of 31 October until midnight of 2 November. The said roads will be back to normal two-way traffic at 12:01 a.m. on 3 November.
Those who will be going to Loyola Memorial Park from Barangka Fly-over going to A. Bonifacio Avenue may take the left lane to enter Loyola Memorial Park Gate 2.
All vehicles going to the city proper should take the right side of the road.
All vehicles from C-5 By-Pass Road or Marcos Highway intending to use Riverbanks Avenue should exit Riverbanks Avenue and Bonifacio Avenue to go to the city proper or Loyola.
All vehicles from Loyola which will exit through Gate 1 may turn right to Don Gonzalo Puyat street, Paspasan Street and Chorillo Street turn right to A. Bonifacio Avenue going to Quezon City.
And all vehicles going to Quezon City from the city proper should take J.P. Rizal Street exiting Marcos Highway.
To ensure the safety of those who will be going to the cemeteries, the city government will set up an incident command post at the Loyola Memorial Park and other cemeteries in the city such as Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish Cemetery, Holy Child Cemetery, Aglipay Cemetery and Barangka Public Cemetery.
The city government said that the command post will have standby emergency medical teams, public safety operatives, health stations, ambulance, police and firefighters.
It advised those who are going to the cemeteries to bring umbrella to protect them from the sun and rain, as well as wearing face masks.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Police District will deploy around 1,800 police personnel at the cemeteries in the cities of Pasig, Marikina, San Juan and Mandaluyong to secure the observance of All Saints' Day.
