The Quezon City Police District on Monday said the weekly index crimes in Quezon City are constantly decreasing.
QCPD Director P/Brig. Gen.Redrico Maranan said the eight focus crimes (Murder, Homicide, Physical Injury, Rape, Theft, Robbery, Car Theft and Motorcycle Theft) decreased from 40 incidents recorded on 9-15 October to 26 incidents on 16-22 October. This shows a decrease of 14 incidents or 35 percent.
The Crime Solution Efficiency on the other hand, Maranan said increased from 67.5 percent from the previous week to 92.31 percent for the current week.
Meanwhile, the 25 percent decrease of street crimes was the result of the deployment of the Task Force-District Anti-Criminality Response Team who were conducting patrols on the streets and the intensified anti-criminality operations and Commission on Elections checkpoint conducted by the different police stations and units of QCPD within the area of Quezon City.
"The entire police force of QCPD will continue to conduct all forms of anti-criminality operations to maintain peace and order in the city and ensure the safety of every citizen of Quezon City," Maranan said, as he expressed his profound gratitude to the men and women of QCPD for their continuous support in his goal of making the city safe.
