Borough Lasik Center or BLC, an industry-leading Lasik surgery facility in the country, has integrated top-notch Lasik eye surgery innovations from European technology partners into its services amid an expansion drive.
BLC said Friday that boosting services will support its plan to grow its footprint to Cagayan de Oro, General Santos City and Bacolod. It currently has three branches in Mall of Asia, Iloilo and Davao.

World-class technology
Being the country's premier Lasik Eye Center, Heredia said BLC has committed to utilizing world-class technology matched with the best Filipino surgeon.
BLC was recently recognized by Schwind Eye Tech Solutions Germany and Transmedic Group for having the most number of installations of the SCWIND AMARIS Excimer Laser nationwide.
High performance
The Schwind Amaris excimer laser is a high-performance laser system used in refractive surgery to reshape the cornea and correct vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
The technology uses advanced technology to provide precise and accurate results with faster recovery times.
A report by the World Health Organization showed that at least 2.2 billion people have a near or distant vision impairment globally. Of these, at least 1 billion vision impairment could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed.
Locally, a recent Philippine Eye Health Institute study found that about two million Filipinos are visually impaired.
