THE last Poker Dream event of the calendar year wrapped up at Hoiana Resort & Golf with games taking place from 29 September to 8 October 2023 in Hoi An, Vietnam. Since the end of the pandemic, Hanoi, Vietnam has been a hotbed for poker in Asia. The hospitality of the locals, its rich and diverse culinary culture, affordability, and soft fields,
are among the many reasons why players from all over have chosen to grace its poker hubs.
In addition, a major draw for both recreational and professional players is the fair rake structure.
The standard rake for tournaments is approximately 10 percent, which may even be lowered for high roller tournaments with high buy-ins.
From 16 to 22 October, following the WPT Vietnam Passport to the World Championship, an exciting tournament called the Grinder Series will be conducted by the VSOP (Viet Nam Series of Poker) club, one of the largest poker clubs in Hanoi.
It is also host for the upcoming APT Hanoi Billions event in December which takes place at the National Convention Center. The APT event features a record-breaking VND 60 Billion guaranteed prize pool.
For the Grinder Series 12'th edition, the organizers will be awarding APT Hanoi Billions tickets to the champions of the mainstream events.
Here are some detailed information about Grinder Series XII:
1. MAIN EVENT — ₫2.5 Billion guaranteed ($105,000) The Grinder Series XII presents a long list of guaranteed prize pools, the biggest of course is designated for the Main Event which brings in a ₫2,500,000,000 ($105,000) guarantee. The Main Event kicks off with two starting days plus a turbo flight. This is followed by Final Day start at 11 a.m. on 22 October. Buy in is ₫8.8 million
($370). It runs from 20 to 22 October.
A special promotion on Day 1A: All players who register before the tournament begins will have their entire rake fee waived.
2. High Roller Series — Total ₫3.6 billion guaranteed ($151,000) For the High Roller Club, within the 7 days of the event, there will be a total of five different High Roller tournaments taking place.
Particularly noteworthy are the two Super High Roller tournaments, Super High Roller I & II, both with the same buy-in of 33 million VND and a guaranteed prize pool of 1 billion VND, these tournaments will run consecutively on October 19th and 20th. Here are the details:
