Southern Police District director P/Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano directed the seven chiefs of police in the southern Metro area to work tirelessly in ensuring that every community will be safe and orderly.
This was the order of Mariano as they continue with their anti-criminality campaign particularly the fight against illegal drugs.
The marching order came as his men seized a total of P129,000 worth of illegal drugs during the serving of a search warrant.
Report showed that on 7 October 2023, around 4:20 p.m., the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Las Piñas City Police Station apprehended a 38-year-old male suspect at a house in TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City.
The operation was executed following the issuance of Search Warrant No. 23-023 by Hon. Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray, the Executive Judge of RTC Branch 202 in Las Piñas City.
During the operation, law enforcement officers discovered evidence, which included eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 19 grams and an approximate street value of P129,200 In addition, several cellphones and small pouches were confiscated as evidence.
