Retail industry leaders will be gathering later this month, as the Philippine Retailers Association gears up to provide high-quality learning sessions for the industry in the 2nd Retail Leaders' Summit.
As retailers and their allied industries continue to navigate the post-pandemic era, the PRA will kick off the said summit on October 24, 2023, at the Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City, the organization announced on Friday.
Robert Claudio, the PRA president for 2023-2025, said that this year, the summit promises to be even bigger and better as it returns to a face-to-face format.
"One compelling reason for businesses to participate is the presence of the industry's crème de la crème at this gathering," he said.
Novel ideas
The highlight of the Retail Leaders' Summit is the CEO-to-CEOs Panel, where novel ideas will be discussed, offering valuable insights to benefit businesses.
Next Gen Visionaries in the first panel discussion will delve deep into strategies and real-life lessons for creating a new culture of innovation.
Headlining the panel are notable figures such as Nishant D' Souza, co-founder and chairperson of edamama, the leading online-to-offline parenting platform in the Philippines; Bam Mejia, co-founder and chief commercial officer of SariSuki, a community buying and selling platform that offers accessible farm-fresh goods and livelihood opportunities for every Madiskarteng Ka-Sari and Ka-Suki in the Philippines; and Brett Doyle, founder and CEO of Mosaic Solutions, a provider of business management systems in the Philippines and the Southeast Asian region.
The next panel discussion which promises to be equally impressive, will focus on "Pitfalls to Avoid and Opportunities in Repurposing Brands: How to Evolve a Brand to Stay Current and Become a Changemaker."

The session will feature industry experts such as Pierre Faucher, CEO of Intrepid Philippines, a leading E-commerce and Digital Solutions Provider in Southeast Asia; Steve Sy, founder and CEO of Great Deals E-Commerce Corporation, recognized by the Financial Times as the fastest-growing company in Asia-Pacific and a top e-commerce solution provider in the Philippines; and, ER Rollan, co-founder and CEO of Growsari, a tech-enabled business-to-business platform that enhances service levels, assortment, and access to new services for over one million sari-sari stores in the Philippines, among other benefits.
