The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao government is investigating allegations that teaching positions in the region are being sold for P300,000, Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal said Saturday.
Iqbal said the BARMM Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education has formed a special committee to investigate the allegations.
"To address this issue, MBHTE has created a special committee to investigate the allegations inside and outside the office. This type of behavior is prohibited by Islamic teachings," he said.
Iqbal warned that any official, personnel or school division staff found to have been involved in the alleged sale of teaching jobs will be disciplined by the government.
"The MBHTE leadership is not tolerating biased behavior and behavior prohibited by Islamic teachings. We always consider transparency with the guidance of Moral Governance," Iqbal said.
He then urged complainants to provide evidence to support their allegations.
