A delivery boy is now being treated at the Manila Orthopedic Center due to broken bones after he was hit by an uncontrollable tricycle on Friday morning in Rizal Avenue corner Aurora Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The victim, identified as Ryan Vargas, a resident of Caloocan, was thrown several meters after the tricycle, driven by Angelito Salamat of Sta. Cruz, Manila, lost its brakes.

The incident occurred at 7:25 a.m. at the northbound lane of Rizal Avenue corner Aurora Street in Sta. Cruz.

The victim suffered multiple wounds in the body, while the tricycle was totally damaged.

The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the incident and will file charges against Salamat.
