This, after personnel from various BuCor offices completed a two-day immersive orientation and hands-on seminar on the OneBuCor Portal and Inmate Management and Information System.
The event was held last 28 to 29 September at the Social Hall and New Conference Room of the New Bilibid Prison Compound in Muntinlupa City.
Catapang said the IMIS seminar aimed to equip personnel with advanced skills and knowledge in utilizing the OneBuCor Portal and IMIS Platform, which is crucial in streamlining operations across different offices of the bureau.
The event was graced by information technology experts CO1 Alvin Deang and CTO1 Ernest Tristan Macabata, who both provided valuable information and learning experiences for all participants.
The duo shared new insights, trends and best practices in the IMIS implementation. Their engaging presentations emphasized the importance of data accuracy, security and accessibility, leaving the attendees with deeper understanding on the system's portal.
They led and assisted the participants in the hands-on sessions, providing practical guidance in navigating the IMIS interface, data entry, and troubleshooting common issues.
