Some customers in Metro Manila and other nearby provinces momentarily experienced power interruption on Sunday evening due to a "sudden plant outage."
Meralco said the incident triggered an Automatic Load Dropping or ALD that occurred at around 6:45 PM.
The power distributor has yet to disclose further information about the interruption but assured that services in affected areas are already restored as of this posting.
It can be recalled that hundreds of thousands of Meralco consumers experienced temporary interruption twice in one week of July.
The first incident was due to the tripping of the San Lorenzo Natural Gas Power Plant, controlled by the Lopez family's First Gen, while the other one was prompted by the tripping of the Ilijan Power Plant operated by San Miguel Global Power.
