Southern Police District Director P/Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano yesterday announced the arrest of a female drug pusher in an anti-drug operation in Taguig City.
The suspect was identified as Salama Utto y Kanakan after police operatives bought illegal drugs from her.
The operation took place at Francis Street, Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City at around 3:20 a.m. on 30 September conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Taguig City Police Station.
Seized in the operation were 13 heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 60 grams with standard drug price of P408,000 and P500 utilized as buy-bust money.
Recovered pieces of evidence will be turned over to SPD Forensic unit for chemical analysis.
"The continuous successful anti-illegal drug operations have reduced the proliferation of illegal drugs here in Southern Metro Manila and we assure you that we, your police will keep on conducting significant steps toward the prevention of harmful effects of drugs reaching the hands of vulnerable victims," Mariano said.
