iACADEMY forged a partnership with retail gaming provider DigiPlus to formalize their partnership on reshaping the educational gaming landscape.

Located in Makati, the specialized non-traditional school sought the help of DigiPlus in the establishment of a state-of-the-art game development lab to create opportunities for students and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on application.

"As iACADEMY and DigiPlus join forces, we embark on a shared journey to redefine the boundaries of education," iACADEMY president and chief executive officer Vanessa Tanco said.

"This partnership embodies their unwavering belief in the power of experiential learning, where students are not just taught, but actively engaged in shaping the future."

According to data from the Philippine Software Industry Association, there will be a global demand for 149 million computer jobs by 2025, 98 million of which will be dedicated to software development.

The projected high demand for software development is in line with the gigantic growth of the online gaming industry, which is predicted to grow up to P3.6 billion by 2025.

DigiPlus said its partnership with iACADEMY is a testament to its commitment to the Filipino youth.
