First Lady rolls out ‘LAB For All’ caravan in Bulacan

First Lady Marie Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos, together with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), and Technological Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), rolled out the "Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat" or "Lab For All" caravan in San Rafael, Bulacan benefitting around 1,866 residents.

DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos mobilized medical and dental teams to the municipality to provide free health services in support of the First Lady's health advocacy campaign.

The First Lady and Secretary Abalos led the distribution of dental kits to 366 students of Brgy. Sampaloc Elementary School, who also received free dental services.

Around 1,500 residents, likewise, benefitted from the program's free health care services, which included laboratory tests, medical consultations, OB-gyne, and ophthalmologist services, as well as free medicines, food packs, and financial assistance. TESDA representatives also gave a series of orientations regarding their skills training courses, granted free slots to their Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), and showcased local products assembled by program graduates.

In her speech at the Victory Coliseum in the town proper, the First Lady reiterated the national administration's commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare services to all Filipinos through the "LAB For All" program.

On the other hand, Abalos said, the DILG is one with the First Lady in her mission to bring free basic health services to communities nationwide.

Salamat po," he said.
