President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thanked government civil servants for their dedication and commitment to delivering quality service to the Filipino people.
In a video message posted on state-run Radio Television Malacañang on Tuesday, Marcos paid tribute to the country's 1.8 million public servants on the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.
"Public service is a noble calling. It is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our fellow Filipinos," he said. "I urge all public servants to continue to uphold the highest standards of excellence and integrity in their work."
The President also recognized the Civil Service Commission's efforts to transform the Philippine bureaucracy into an agile and future-ready organization.
Marcos's message came as the country celebrated the anniversary of the civil service, commemorating the CSC's establishment via Public Law No. 5 on 5 September 1900.
