The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board 7 issued on 5 September Wage Order ROVII-24 which granted the P33 hike in daily pay of laborers in Central Visayas.

PM Cebu, Sugbo-KMU, Sentro and other labor groups advocated for a P100 wage hike in Central Visayas.
Sugbo-KMU chairperson Jaime Paglinawan said the increase in daily pay is insufficient to cope with the rising costs of essential goods and services.
The new wage order covers non-agricultural establishments categorized from Class A to C.
