

The Las Piñas City health office conducted simultaneous medical missions Wednesday, 13 September, by feeding 2,000 kids in celebration of of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s birthday.
The simultaneous medical missions were spearheaded by the City Health Office focusing its outreach efforts in Barangay CAA and Pilar.
During the activity, over a thousand residents availed themselves of free medical consultations, with healthcare professionals on-site to address a range of health concerns. Additionally, beneficiaries received free medicines and vitamins donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, ensuring that they not only left with professional advice but also with the necessary resources to manage their health conditions.
Complementing the health services, the City Nutrition Office also conducted a feeding program targeting children in the community.
A total of 2,000 kids received nutritious meals as part of the initiative, contributing to the city's ongoing efforts to combat malnutrition and food insecurity.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar personally supervised the medical mission and has vowed to conduct similar activities in the future to ensure the health of the children in her city.
The local government of Manila had its own way of sending its greetings to President Marcos Jr. — a birthday song from no less than Mayor Honey Lacuna in front of hundreds of Pandacan residents during her weekly interaction with the people Wednesday.
Before starting the "Kalinga sa Maynila" barangay forum held at the Lorenzo dela Paz Street in Pandacan in District 6, Lacuna asked Congressman Bienvenido Abante and sixth district Councilors Philip Lacuna, Lou Veloso, Fog Abante and Caloy Castaneda in singing a birthday song.
The audience, composed of residents from Barangays 837, 839 and 840, also joined Lacuna and the city officials present.
LAB for All
Meanwhile, volunteers, local government units and national government agencies celebrated the President's birthday by organizing events for the environment and the poorest of the poor under the "LAB For All: Lingap at Alagang Bayanihan" initiative.
Activities under the "LAB For All" initiative include tree-planting activities, medical and dental missions, feeding programs, milk-letting activities, and other civic missions and programs across the country.
