The Department of Education on Thursday warned the public about a fake memorandum circulating on social media regarding the two-week rest day in celebration of teachers' day month.
In a statement, the DepEd said it has tapped authorities to investigate the source of this fake memorandum following its malicious use of the department's issuance template as it urged the public to be more vigilant against fake messages circulating online.
The agency also advised the public to report any misleading and suspicious information about basic education to depedactioncenter@deped.gov.ph.
To recall, Vice President and Education Secretary has said that teachers will be given 30 straight days of rest during the school year break without any department activity that requires volunteer work.
