Lee Sung-kyung, the popular South Korean actress, is returning to Manila two months from now, and news of her upcoming fan meet has sent her dedicated Filipino followers into a frenzy.
The 32-year-old actress will visit Manila on 8 July as part of her "Be Closer" Asian fan gathering tour, local event producer CDM Entertainment announced on Monday.
"We are delighted to announce the highly-anticipated Lee Sung-kyung Asia Fan Meeting [BE CLOSER] happening in the city near you soon! Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we bring you closer to the incredibly talented and charismatic Lee Sung-kyung," CDM said on Facebook.
Additional information, such as the venue of the event and admission costs, were not immediately available.
On her extensive Asian tour, Lee Sun-kyung will also hold fan meets in Tokyo, Taipei and Seoul. The actress had her first fan gathering in the Philippines back in 2019.
Her outstanding portrayals in well-liked dramas including Cheese in the Trap, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, Sh**ting Stars, and Call It Love have left a lasting impression on viewers, garnering her an avid following and boosting her position as one of Korea's most popular stars.
Lee Sung-kyung can now be seen in the most recent season of Yoo In-shik's romantic medical Kdrama of the same name, Dr. Romantic. Other actors in the show include Han Seok-kyu, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Joo-heon, So Ju-yeon and Jin Kyung.
Dr. Romantic Season 3 is now airing on SBS on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. KST.
