Letran College guns for its second win when it faces Mapua University in Season 98 National Collegiate Athletic Association women's volleyball tournament today at the San Andres Sports Complex.
Action begins at 2 p.m. with the Lady Knights looking for a convincing win that will send them to the upper half of the team standings.
Meanwhile, Lyceum of the Philippines University opens things up when they clash with San Sebastian College in the other women's match.
In the men's side, the Stags take on the Pirates at 9 a.m. while Letran caps off the four-day matchday with a 4:30 p.m. battle with Mapua.
After finishing Season 97 at the bottom of this 10-team tournament with a 2-7 win-loss card, Letran is tipped to go all out in a bid to make it to the Final Four after an 11-year absence.
Lady Knights head coach Mike Inoferio said he wants his wards to stay committed regardless of their opponents while keeping their confidence in every move they make.
"We just have to finish the match. Until the score reads 25, we have to keep on playing," said Inoferio, who drew 15 points from Daisy Melendres during their straight-set victory over San Beda University last Sunday.
"The lesson in those close sets is how they will fight and defend themselves when the opponent is catching up. That's where you will see their confidence, that they can win any kind of game."
