San Miguel immediately buckled down to work and clinched a playoffs spot in Leg 5 of the PBA 3×3 Third Conference Season 2 Saturday at Robinsons Place Las Pinas.

The Beermen swept Pool B with back-to-back wins over Pioneer Elastoseal, 21-9, and Barangay Ginebra, 21-18.

Tonino Gonzaga both led the Beermen in the twin kill, scoring 11 points and six rebounds in the win over the Katibays, and then dropping 13 points against the Kings.

Winner of the conference's opening leg, San Miguel failed to advance in the quarterfinals in last week's Leg 4.

Also completing a sweep for an outright quarterfinals berth was Cavitex in Pool A.

The Braves downed Purefoods, 21-17, before making it two-in-a-row opposite J&T Express, 22-20.

The Titans nipped the Express, 19-15, to take the no. 2 seed in their group.

Platinum Karaoke and Meralco meanwhile, locked in the two playoff berths in Pool D as both beat and ousted the Terrafirma Dyip.

The Bolts dealt the Dyip a 15-12 beating, while Platinum Karaoke also thrashed them behind a 19-15 win.
