A novelty running event featuring participants wearing their favorites costumes takes center stage as the Asics Rock 'n' Roll Running Series hits the road on 26 November at the Rizal Park.
Registration starts 16 February with IRONMAN Philippines founder and ambassador Wilfred Uytengsu assuring everyone of a fun time.
"This is a running marathon with entertainment. This is a rare opportunity to see Manila all dressed up," Uytengsu said during the press launch of the blue-ribbon event at the Manila City Hall.
"We are very happy to have the Asics Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series presented by AIA vitality back in Manila. We received very good feedback in 2022 and we look forward to making it bigger in 2023.
Make this your year-ender run."
Last year's event saw more than 5,000 runners participating and DJ Bling One, the Moranos bad, the Gracenot band, Reujen Lista, Elmo and Arkin Magalona, the hardware Syndrome, the Kahilom drumbeaters and Itchyworms providing entertainment.
There will be four running categories: 5K, 10K, 21K and the full marathon of 42.195 kilometers.
Manila mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan is calling on everyone to enjoy the sights of the city as they run.
