Ally Gaccion and Kiara Montebon, who figured in a thrilling four-hole playoff last week, headline the cast in the JGFP Pueblo de Oro ranking event in Cagayan de Oro City Saturday.
Gaccion dropped an eight-foot putt to edge Montebon in the fourth extra hole and win the girls' 15-18 age group division of the JGFP Pueblo de Oro Junior Open.
Gaccion and Montebon are also taking part in the 54-hole World Amateur Golf Rankings event that started on Friday.
Also in the field are last week's 13-14 champions Clement Ordeneza and Zero Plete and boys' 7-8 winner Gunnar Velez.
Close to 50 players are entered in the tournament sanctioned by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines and organized by the host club led by general manager Gil Blas Velez and club director Ronnie Canlas.
Among the prominent names entered in the event are John Canlas, Korean Jinna Lee, Velinda Castil and Alonzo Retuerto.
