With Shawn Glover still recuperating from a heel injury, Blackwater decided to bring in a back-up import in the early stretch of the Philippine Basketball Association Governors' Cup.

Troy Williams, a National Basketball Association veteran, was scheduled to arrive on Thursday night to replace the spot of the ailing Glover in the season-ending conference.

Bossing coach Ariel Vanguardia said Glover suffered an injury during their 102-124 loss to NLEX last week at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"He had a bruised left heel injury he suffered during the game against NLEX and that's the reason why his game has been up and down," said Vanguardia, whose wards are having a rollercoaster campaign with a 1-2 win-loss card.

Vanguardia said Williams can turn the season around.

Despite going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, Williams still went on to play for three NBA teams — Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets — before teaming up with Dwight Howard with the Taoyuan Leopards in the T1 League in Taiwan.

In his NBA career, he played a total of 72 games, averaging six points per game, including norms of 9.6 points and four rebounds while playing for the Rockets in 2017.

He is also said to be an electrifying player after winning the NBA D-League slam dunk crown seven years ago.

His stay with the Bossing, however, depends on Glover's recovery.

"Depending on Glover's injury, we will decide on who to keep," Vanguardia said.
